Issue:

Work carried out in a safe manner and power outages minimized for clients.

Mandate:

Install SF-6 switches (15kV) to allow the work to be carried out safely and minimized disruptions and power outages for the clients.

Approach:

In a 40-year old building, space was found for installing 45 new switches.

Technical aspects:

These new switches were installed with minimal power outages, because the work was carried out directly on the building’s electrical supply.

Results:

The result is that it is now easier to carry out maintenance work.  A decrease in power outages for the clients was noted.
